Open Hearts, Open Minds, Open Doors

THIS WEEK MAR 20-26, 2019

In Worship This Week
Have you ever noticed how many journey stories there are in the Bible?  Adam and Eve get sent on a journey when they are expelled from the Garden of Eden.  Cain leaves his homeland and journeys to Nod when God punishes him for killing his brother Abel.  After Noah floated for 150 days of rain, God created a wind that blew Noah along for another 150 days until he found himself back on solid ground on Mt. Ararat.  All of this traveling and we are not even out of the eight chapter of the Book of Genesis!
This Sunday, March 24th, I am going to return to the theme of journey and explore the similarities and differences found in the many journey stories found in the Bible.  You don’t need a passport or a ticket, so I hope to see you in worship.

There will be no youth Sunday School or Children's Church this weekend (March 24).

Sunday Supper Volunteers
We still need volunteers for our FREE Community Sunday Supper each month.  We need people to help prepare the food, serve and clean up.  It is not necessary that you know how to do any of these, we just need your help.  There is a sign up sheet at the back of the sanctuary each month.  Please come and help us and share in this wonderful opportunity to minister to our community!
For more information for upcoming events and news, see our Calendar here; or read the current Newsletter here.
