THIS WEEK MAY 22-28, 2019

In Worship This Week

There are many images used to describe God in the Bible.  God is portrayed as the Creator.  God is also described as the force and/or intent of history.    The Book of Revelation defines God as the one who fantastically makes all things new.  Our church’s founder, John Wesley, believed that God was so much more than what we could possibly describe.

This Sunday, I want to explore the imagery of God as King.  Is this an image that resonates with your understanding and experience?  What fits and doesn’t fit?  Is there another Biblical image that speaks to you with greater insight and influence?  These are some of the questions I want to wrestle with.  I hope to see you in worship.

Praise for:  our teachers, God’s love and strength, and for good test results.
Let us keep in our prayers:  Shawn, Marjorie, Gloria, Amber, 2019 graduates, teachers, school staff, and safe summer vacations, safe travel to visit family, continued close and happy relationships with family, those who are lonely, Brian, Jean, Jerry, Reese, Eric and family, Jim, Tony, and Carol.
