GOD IN IMPOSSIBLE PLACES

pastormia20

As we welcome the new year, we continue to celebrate Christmas, that God was born and walked among us. This Sunday we celebrate the end of the Christmas season with Epiphany and the visit of the Magi from the east.

Already there is drama. Whenever God enters our world, bringing powerful peace and goodness, there is inevitable conflict with the “powers of the world” such as violence and oppression. It happened even as a baby. King Harod tried to stamp out the power of God but God was always two steps ahead and Joseph was cooperative.

Unlike us, God does not shy away from difficult situations or even impossible situations. God’s power is enough to overshadow any worldly power. God is with us, saving us, even in impossible places.

Peace,

Pastor Mia
