DO UNTO OTHERS: COMPASSION

An election is coming. There are signs and ads telling you who to vote for. The news is telling you about issues and where the candidates are speaking. Everywhere you turn, there is attack and demonization. We can’t just disagree, we have to insult your character.

There is another way. The Jesus way. Where compassion leads us to treating enemies like friends and the downtrodden like the important ones.  

This Sunday we start a worship series, “Do Unto Others,” about how to follow the Christian law of love in a climate of hate. Let this election season become an opportunity to grow in your faith and find the hope that endures.
