As Christ-followers, compassion is non-optional. Our faith is expressed in our voting and God is transforming the world through us.

Hard line positions are only possible without connection to real people. I’ve seen it over and over. People have a hard line position, something happens with someone they love, and their position changes. It softens. As people of compassion, our focus is always on real people rather than ideologies, which can be really challenging when others want to be hard-lined.

This Sunday we’re looking at compassion regarding women’s health and the issue of abortion. Nationally, and especially in Idaho, these have become hot-button issues, which seem straight forward until you look at it plays out in the lived experience of real people.

Be part of the conversation. See you Sunday.

Peace,

Pastor Mia
