I’m sure that you know good, generous people who are not Christian. And you doubt that God will reject them and send them to hell just because they are not followers of Jesus. But you’ve heard people say that you must accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior in order to be saved, and even the Bible says that the only way to the Father is through the Son (Jesus). There are also many texts of welcome, that speak of Jesus’ saving work extending to all people. All people.
And just as it starts to feel comfortable, that God saves all people, period, you start to wonder if Jesus matters. Does your following Jesus matter? If God won’t reject non-Christians then why does Jesus call us to follow him?
This Sunday we’ll dig into the questions of salvation for non-Christians, hell, and how Jesus matters today.
Peace,
Pastor Mia
