CELEBRATING SALVATION!!

We’ve looking at different ways that Jesus saves us. What does Jesus save us from? What do you need saved from?

I was hiking last week, think about these questions. It’s been rich for me to pray and think about this. I love the philosophical and theological stuff, but the truth is that I want to see how Jesus saves me, personally, in my 2025-Idaho-living everyday life. If Jesus isn’t “fire-insurance,” then what am I being saved from?

As I walked, a word welled up in me: “joy.” It came slowly and gently, and still hit me hard. I am the oldest child of an oldest child. I’m just naturally responsible and headstrong. I have spent my life taking care of others and managing life. I have prioritized working hard and making sure others were happy.

As I hiked it hit me strongly — God is actively working for my joy, just as I work for joy for others. And maybe, God suggested, I could accept it. Wow…

What do you need saving from? How is God saving you today in your 2025-Idaho-living everyday life?

Peace,

Pastor Mia
