This Sunday we enter the most meaningful week of the entire year. We begin with Palm Sunday, 10 a.m., when Jesus enters Jerusalem, welcomed as a King, with palms and communion. On Thursday, 7 p.m. we mark the Last Supper and Jesus washing the feet of the disciples. Good Friday, 7 p.m. we remember the death and crucifixion with veneration of the cross. And then, on Easter Sunday, 10 a.m. we celebrate the resurrection with baptisms and confirmation!!! And there will be an egg hunt!!
This is the most central story of the Christian life. It’s a story that we walk in real time during holy week, allowing the slow unfolding to take us on a journey.
Right now, I encourage you to look at your schedule for next week and block out those moments when you will join the story unfolding through the week. Each day, let it be part of your life, so that God can reveal a new story of salvation to you this year.
