OUR PURPOSE: THE MISSION OF THE CHURCH

Following Jesus changes our lives, fills them with meaning and purpose that is unique for each one of us.  The church also has a unique and special purpose, part of God’s good mission to save the world:  making disciples for the transformation of the world.

We don’t do faith alone. We don’t live our purpose alone.  We do it together.  God created us for togetherness and God established the church to build up discipleship and faith.  It was from the church that we heard the good news of Jesus, that we heard the testimony of others that inspired our faith, that we were challenged to discipleship ourselves.

This Sunday we’ll be getting really honest about what our mission is. And more than that, who this our mission is for. This is a big stumbling block for many, so we come at it straight on.
