Some things we learn in the doing. The Letter of James was all about that in our faith life. We live our faith, not to prove anything to God or others, but because we learn in the doing. There were some things I learned walking the Camino.

This Sunday we start with “The journey is the point.” While in previous generations, and in other churches, the focus is on the next life, Jesus was very clear that the faith he offered was for this life. So it is the journey that is the point, the pilgrimage that is this life.

Last Sunday we did some of that journey-ing in offering Back to School Haircuts. Stylists volunteered their time and we offered support that made the whole event well supported. 62 kids got haircuts because of your giving of time and money. Thank you!!

Peace,

Pastor Mia
