When COVID arrived and we went into lockdown, my very full schedule emptied out. I’ve always been really busy and having a day without something scheduled is such a gift. And then almost all my days were like that.
Now my schedule is back to really full again. Many are finding their calendars have transformed to the fullness of pre-COVID too. I am feeling the preciousness of time again.
Time is a gift from God. And discipleship is a lifestyle change, aligning the use of our time with God’s dreams for the world. We need to spend time alone with God, time with other disciples, and time serving the community.
This Sunday we’ll name the gifts of our time to the Church, maybe continuing in ways we’ve done before and maybe exploring new ways of spending time with the Church.
