Summer is a beautiful season where our regular routines are interrupted. Even if you don’t have kids in school, you can feel the different rhythm. Camping, fishing, movies in the park, swimming – time stops and life just is. It’s such a glorious break from the tyranny of the clock and the calendar. I love camping, partly because I can go the whole day without looking at a clock. I’m just living, and my biggest concern is fixing the next meal. What a glorious interruption!
Interruptions are spiritual moments too, giving us opportunities to notice God in a new way, maybe even in an unexpected way. Often, it is in the interruptions of our lives that we let go of control over every moment, and in that release, we discover God waiting for us.
This Sunday we’ll see how God shows up with healing and wholeness right in the middle of interruptions!
Peace,
Pastor Mia
